A Christmas Wish

A Christmas Wish

There’s a man by the phone
Hi sits waiting, alone
It’s Christmas Eve and the house is still
Children gone, wife passed on just this year
His one wish Christmas Day is to hear children play
Will someone call?
Is he loved after all?

Is it you? Is it me? Who will answer his plea?
He is praying for help from above
But it’s us God will trust
To surround him with love
On a night like this
Will you grant a Christmas wish?

Tiny house, there’s no tree
For this hard-working family
They hide their tears this holiday
Can’t buy gifts when there’s those bills to pay
Parents sing “Silent Night,” kiss their babies good-night
The children still pray Santa still finds his way

Is it you? Is it me? Who will answer their plea?
They are praying for help from above
But it’s us God will trust
To surround them with love
On a night like this
Will you grant a Christmas wish?

Baby Jesus, long ago, had nowhere to stay
If he asked you to make room for him
Would you turn Him away?
Will you turn them away?

Is it you? Is it me? Who will answer their plea?
They are praying for help from above
But it’s us God will trust
To surround them with love
On a night like this
Will you grant a Christmas wish?
Will you grant a Christmas wish?
