Jackson’s Song

Jackson’s Song

I found this sweet melody as I was looking for an Irish lullaby for my son, Jackson. The name “Jackson’s Morning Brush” caught my eye, & as I played through the tune for the first time, I fell in love with the lilting, cheerful sound. I chose lyrics about nature since Jackson loves to be outside, & added a simple chorus to express my love to my miracle baby boy. —Amy

If you were a flower and I was the sunshine,
I’d wake every morning to make your day bright.
I’d watch over you in your sweet little garden
I’d kiss every petal with warm, golden light.

Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
Love you forever; it’s true.
Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
My little darlin’, I do.

(instrumental)

If you were a butterfly learning to flutter,
And I was the wind that could help you to fly,
I’d carry you gently up over the treetops;
And when you were ready, we’d soar to the sky.

Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
Love you forever; it’s true.
Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
My little darlin’, I do.

(instrumental)

Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
Love you forever; it’s true.
Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
My little darlin’, I do.

(instrumental)

My little darlin’, I do.
